PROJECTS IN THE OFFING

To conduct participatory and interactive workshops for the clarification, development and sustenance of the performative, art and craft forms; and impart training in these forms to the artists and people outside the community to enable/facilitate further. Elaboration/evaluation of the latent possibilities in these forms, particularly in modern experimental directions.

To provide show case center for the exposure and marketing of these forms through setting up of SHGs & cooperatives of artists/ artisans/ craftsmen and/ or common contact point, with relevant information and literature for the performing artists/artisans and companies so that the forms are able to sustain themselves economically and independently.

Promotion of tribal dances

• Rinjha in Ranipar and Firkaal in Janumdih through Sangeet Natak Akademy
• Paika in Ichagarh through Tarang by SLD
• Dasai in Dungridih by Kalamandir

Folk dances of Jharkhand

• Naacchni, Jhumur, Panta in Kharsawan through Tarang by SLD
• Kathi in Chiteswar by Kalamandir

Promotion of Handicraft Traditions

• Sawai Rope craft through N A E B, MoEF
• Grass Mat (Cluster)
